Trading the French stock market – is there more room to the upside for EWQ?
One of the most popular BlackRock products, the iShares MSCI France ETF with a ticker EWQ, almost reached on Friday its ATH. There is huge demand for French stocks and bulls drove the prices to $38.31 per share.
Investors are surely delighted with the fantastic profits EWQ generated on the short term. Since the end of October it was trading for $33.76 and in less than two months the ETF went up with nearly $5! If you had this single asset on your trading account, you would be looking now at nearly 16% return in not even 40 business days. Some of the big names in the holdings of the funds include Louis Vuitton, Total Energies, Loreal, Schneider Electric, Sanofi and all of them enjoyed a fantastic rally for the past 2 months.
What was driving the heavy buying activity was lowering inflation levels and pause in the rate hikes. This makes investors very positive and their appetite for risk is increased now!
